Appointments Personnel, a recruitment agency based in Newcastle Under Lyme, were struggling with an outdated phone system that did not meet the needs of a growing company.

Established in 1998, Appointments Personnel pride themselves on achieving 100% satisfaction for both clients and candidates, however their existing phone system did not meet these exacting standards.  The antiquated system was becoming unreliable and downtime was increasingly common.  The owners were faced with engineer delays so they were spending their valuable time either waiting with frustration or wading through a fifty-page manual trying to self diagnose!  The system, which included ISDN 30 channels, were not only unreliable but also costly and they were charged for eight channels and all calls.

We knew we would be able to deliver a superior service and cost savings to Appointments Personnel.   After conducting a free bill analysis, we identified where we would be able to make significant savings.  The Horizon hosted phone system negates ISDN 30 and the associated costs such as the cost of all landline and UK mobile call traffic.   We recommended eight licences, one ADSL Line and eight Polycom VVX 410 handsets, which were provided free of charge.

The provision of excellent service was also vital for Appointments Personnel.  It was important they had a dedicated contact, Maureen, who was able to take them through the whole process.  The features of free maintenance costs and disaster recovery added reassurance to the new system, which was important based on their prior experience.
